off again on again bible advertising
Rolling stone decided to run an ad from Zondervan Publishing (based right here in my locale Grand Rapids MI) for the launch of it new Bible version Today’s NIV. After saying that it had a policy of not running religious ads the magazine reversed itself and decided to run the ad. Check out local media reports on this: Grand Rapids Press, WZZM News. The TNIV has had a fair amount of controversy in its making. Going back several years to IBS and Zondervan working to create a more accurate version of the NIV.
