Rob Bell, The next Billy Graham?
The Chicago Sun times has this article on Rob Bell, The next Billy Graham?
I was surprised to see this quote
So much so that Mars Hill, the congregation Bell co-founded with a small group of friends seven years ago, is one of the fastest growing churches in U.S. history, drawing more than 10,000 worshippers each week (plus another 30,000r 30,000
English: Contemporary English Version (1999) - CEV
Izbrano poglavje ne obstaja! Štetje svetopisemskih vrstic se začne z 1! Vrstica 0 ne obstaja! or so who download MP3s of the weekly services from the church Web site.)
Since Rob had several hundred follow him from Calvary. It makes it sound like only a couple of them started out at Mars.
What do you think is he the next Graham?

Rob Bell, The next Billy Graham?
More numbers and more people doesnt necessarily mean growth. The real growth in is in the spiritual realm where people are made to be like Christ not like Rob Bell, or McLaren, or Jones. People may add numbers to their church but not to the Kingdom. Sad!
I really like rob bell . I saw him in chicago a few weeks ago and I really think that God has brought him to give the message that Bell has given. I do not know if he could be the next billy Graham. The reason is because he does not appeal to everyone. Again I really like Bell I got his book and most of his Nooma videos but I do not think that next billy Graham is not Rob Bell.
There will never be another Billy Graham or another Rob Bell. The point is neither are interested in being Paul, Apollos, or Cephas. They understand that no servant is greater than his master and that being a disciple of Jesus Christ is the only thing that is important. May our prayer be for the Lord of the Harvest to send out more reapers, whoever they may be.
I think Rob Bell is a fantastic preacher and I respect him for all he’s doing. But I do think it’s worth pointing out that the Chicago Sun Times article was written by a classmate of Rob’s from Wheaton College. For what it’s worth…
I personally think Rob Bell is a great speaker, a great poet, and a great mind. He has a special way of reaching the young generation of our world today. However, his doctrine is not in accordance with the scripture. The Word says that no one should add or take away from it. If the Word was supposed to change along with the times, then the bible is falible. Rob Bell seems to have a passion for God, but does he have a passion for the Word of God? The UNCHANGING Word of God?

Rob Bell is a heretic. The idea to even question the virgin birth in his book Velvet Elvis. Than to say do me lose anything. Lets see JESUS!!! No virgin no Jesus, but then says “I believe in the virgin birth.” Evangelicals question your liberty’s not but leg on which we stand on essential Christian doctrines. Rob Bell may know the Word of God, but Satan does too. What a JOKE!!!!
That is certainly one way to look at it.
