Well the ja women could not complete the sweep of the sprint races at the Olympics as they dropped the baton during the exchange between the 2nd & 3rd leg of the 4×100 relay. Too bas since they probably would have broken the record if they one.
Anyway the men won their relay in world record time

When I was growing up I was really proud to look in the Guinness book of world record and see that the fastest man in the world at the time was a Jamaican Donald Quarry running the 100 meters at 9.99
Now a new generation of Jamaican track and field athletes are making me proud again of my home country. Usain (lightning) Bolt has become the first male sprinter to win bost the 100 and 200 meter races at the olympis while shattering the world records in both races.
Sherrone Fraiser blew away the field in the women’s 100 meters with the JA women sweeping the medals, another first. A Jamaican woman (Walker) won the 400 hurdles and now the men have won the 400 meter relay.
One US athletes said it is their rime now. Sure looks like it. Boy I am proud of these folks. Its cool to hear my two american born boys own their Jamaican heritage.
